This is a bulk pack box of 4,500 224 caliber, .800-in long
bullet jackets. Each jacket weighs 16.7 grains. The
jackets can be used for any .22 centerfire caliber, from
the .219 Zipper to the .225 Winchester. Caliber names
such as the .223, 5.56mm, 5.7mm FN, .220 Swift, .221 Fireball,
.222 Remington, and all standard .224's use this jacket.
The diameter of the jacket itself is .222 inches, which
expands to fill the core seating die when you seat the
lead core (.190 diameter).
The jacket can be used for weights from 55 to over 80 grains,
depending on ogive shape and nose or tip design, lead or
open tip style. In a 6-S ogive with the lead brought just
below the end of the jacket, a weight of 77-78 grains is
typical.
