BRD-1-R bullet reducing die is used to reduce a finished bullet up to .006 inches smaller. For example, a .323 (current 8mm) rifle bullet can be reduced to .318 (early 8mm military) by pushing it through the proper size draw die. In order to make the die, we need to have six sample bullets of the same type you plan to use. The dies are made to order, using your bullets to determine the correct dimensions. Other bullets become a slightly different diameter when reduced, because of differences in material spring-back. The BRD-1-R uses a flat base punch, for flat base bullets. For RBT or BT bullets, use the BRD-1-RC, or order the optional RBT punch made to match your sample bullet base.
